Campion Library: About

Welcome to the Campion Library

Welcome to the Campion Library

The Library aims to provide a range of high-quality services that are innovative, relevant, and customised for the  teaching, learning and research needs of the College

We are open every day from 8am until 5:30pm except for Friday when the library closes at 3:45pm. We are closed at recess time but are open 2nd lunch.

The library is a place of welcome however there are some expectations:

Students are asked not  to bring FOOD or DRINK (water bottles allowed) in to the library, and  to work silently or talk quietly if they are doing group work.

School bags are not allowed in the library  as they are an occupational safety hazard. Please leave your bag on the bag racks in the library foyer before school and afterschool.

If you come to the library during lesson time without your teacher

REPORT TO THE CIRCULATION DESK AND SIGN IN

If you forget to return library books you will not be able to borrow until all OVERDUE ITEMS are returned. Mrs Fidock will send overdue reminders to your email and home group. If you do not respond, an account will be sent home at the end of the term.

Borrowing & Returning

If you want to borrow a book, take it to the CIRCULATION DESK and show your STUDENT ID to the library staff.

Year 7- 9 students can borrow 5 BOOKS and year 10- 12 students can borrow 8 BOOKS  at any one time. In general, the loan period is 3 weeks. If the book you want is out, see the library staff as it is possible to RESERVE a book if it is currently on loan.

Students are asked to return ALL library books to the book returns chute at the front of the circulation desk. Textbooks and English novels are to be returned to the bookroom.
